Why Join Right at Home West LA?
Corporate Office located 14th St. Santa Monica, CA
Here's why our caregivers love us:
Competitive Pay- starting pay is $17.50-19.50/hour and UP per hour based on years of experience, availability to work weekends, and ability to drive clients. HHAs and CNAs will have a higher starting depending on availability for weekend shifts and ability to drive clients. Future pay increases are available depending on performance and tenure.
Robust bonus program*- you can earn up to $1000 within the first 6 months if you take full advantage of our bonus program which includes: Sign-On bonus, retention bonus, and employee referral bonus*
Limited Clientele- work with only 1 or 2 clients at a time. This allows you the peace of mind that your Covid exposure is minimized and is less stressful too. Most of our clients are in the general West LA area (Santa Monica, Malibu, Pacific Palisades, etc.) However, we do have clients all the way north to Topanga Canyon and Woodland Hills, south to Long Beach/Redondo Beach, and west towards Compton, Inglewood, Culver City, etc.
Safety- we have strict Covid protocols in place. We provide masks and gloves to every client so our caregivers can protect themselves and the client/client's family.
Flexible scheduling- you choose the times, locations and clients you want to work with. We don't guarantee shifts or hours per week, but you manage your own schedule and may get up to 40 hours per week.
Paid Training- as a licensed Home Care Aide (see info below on getting your license), you need to have at least 5 hours of training per year. We provide this training to you at no cost and even pay you for the hours it takes to complete the courses.
Direct Deposit- your bi-weekly paycheck is paid through direct deposit so you have faster access to your earned cash.
Office support- the office team is available for you 24/7 and, if necessary, will go out and cover for caregivers when they are faced with an emergency.
Tap Check- for access to your cash between paychecks, we offer this app which for a small fee allows you to access your earned income.
Intranet- you are able to get all the information and support you need not just through our office staff, but also through our intranet. Updates, job aids, system tutorials, benefits information and more is accessible anywhere just by clicking on the link we provide.
401K match*- after 6 months and 500 hours of service, we match your contribution percent for percent up to 3% then half a percent for the next 2. If you contribute 5%, we match you at 4%. This great benefit helps you save for retirement and offers financial peace of mind as you age.
Paid sick time*- you earn 1 hour for every 30 hours of work.
Overtime Pay- Caregivers are considered Domestic Workers and are entitled to OT pay after 9 hours. We also observe the following holidays wher OT is paid: New Years, Memorial Day, July 4th (Independence Day), Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve (after 3pm), Christmas Day, New Year's Eve (after 3pm), and New Year's Day.

Certifications/State Requirements
Overview: In 2016, the government passed legislature called the Home Care Services Consumer Protection Act. This required all Home Care Organizations like ours to only hire licensed Home Care Aids. As such, all our positions require a Home Care Aide license as well as some other items. We do not subsidize (pay) for this license as it is YOUR PERSONAL LICENSE and travels with you. However, if you do obtain this, it is your license and can be used if you apply/work for any other Home Care Organization like ours.
*Note: If you don't have these, instructions follow below for each item.
Home Care Aide (aka HCA or PER ID) license by the CA Dept. of Social Services. This license usually starts with 750,751,759 or 460 and is 10 digits long. You can check your license number by clicking here. NOTE: This is NOT the same as a license issued by In Home Support Services (IHSS).
If you don't have your HCA, we may be willing to pay for the license for you (if you are willing to pay for the background check). This will be determined during the interview.
TB test (negative) within the last 2 years or within the last 90 days if you are newly licensed HCA
CPR certified-- online certification is ok
Able to drive clients to appointments in own insured/registered automobile (preferred)
Training- 5 hours per year. If you have completed this with another agency or on your own, that's a plus... otherwise, we will provide this upon hire.
